A fabulously edible finish for your favors. And you won't have to sacrifice style for tradition. Larger Italian almonds, prized for their elegant shape, are dipped in a thinner layer of sugar infused with a bit of edible silver for a lustrous look. So shiny you can see yourself. Less sugar in the coating makes them more delicious and not as hard to the tooth as other sugar-coated almonds. Sold in 14 ounce bags, approximately 100 almonds per bag. The size of each almond is approximately 1 1/4" x 5/8". Present in favor boxes or simply fill champagne glasses or a candy dish. If preparing favors over a month ahead of the wedding, place them in larger airtight bags and keep out of direct light to prevent the silver on the almonds from oxidizing, or tarnishing.
